So last night I made my debut as a Quiz master and quiz host! After numerous hours of putting images and questions together, not to mention shopping for, and cutting up fromage, the evening got off to a flying start as guests arrived for welcome fizz in the Caves! With 45 guests all keen to show off their knowledge of French places, music, history, cuisine, to name but a few topics, we had a lively evening with some interesting and amusing discussions to boot

Such was the competitive spirit that two of the nine teams were neck and neck and it went to a tie-breaker, with 'Le Cinquieme' (David & Cathy Collerton, Sue & Michael Merryweather, Christina Gasparri) winning the coveted title of Les Champions (champions, not champignons!) du Quiz!!! Felicitations!!

Thankyou to everyone involved, especially to Nick Powe and his staff at Kents Cavern for hosting our event; to Bistrot Pierre Torquay for their ongoing support of Le Club, and to everyone who donated prizes for the raffle!

I have already had several people asking me when the next one is! Not sure about that at this stage, but you never know!
