As you know I am always trying to create links within our local community and expand our interest groups.

Brel Masterclass

On the 6th June, we have been invited to a 'Jacques Brel Masterclass' by the Head of Languages at the Torquay Boys Grammar School. If this sounds like your kinda thing, then let me know! It's free to attend and anyone is welcome. It's an exclusive event just for us, and friends, and anyone else who fancies it! Torbay Lottery

Thankyou to everyone who has supported Le Club so far for the Torbay Lottery! The first draw is tonight. How exciting. This is a great initiative for the Bay, supporting many community projects and causes. I was pleased that my application for Le Club was approved and recognised for its social/cultural activities - especially for the Ageing Well generation. You can support Le Club, and/or other local causes of your choice, here

Film Club

Our film season has been incredible so far this year. My personal favourite so far being 'Les Choirstes' There is still time to book a place for 'Les Parapluies de Cherbourg' on Wednesday 31st May. Our June film night is 'Gainsbourg' on Friday 30th June. There is no film club during July and August and will recommence in September. More details on film club here:

I will have to start thinking about putting the 2018 programme together soon! Where has the year gone!!

Bastille Night

Which leads me to.......... Bastille Night - Friday 14th July - our summer party at Le Bistrot Pierre. I already have about 20 people on the list. Do you want to come? I will have a price from Le Bistrot shortly then I will be after your money - and what you want to eat!
